Job Title: Accounting Manager

Reports To: CEO

Department: Finance

Status: Full-Time Salaried/Exempt

Purpose: This position is a comprehensive role that requires financial and analytical skills to manage payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, invoicing and collections.

Job Description/Duties

  • Complete monthly invoicing for all clients of AppealMasters & Veracity.
  • Make deposits and Accounts Receivable follow up as needed.
  • Weekly Accounts Payable processing.
  • Reconcile monthly bank statements to the general ledger and monitor cash flow to meet operational needs.
  • Record all financial activity in the accounting system of PayerWatch.
  • Reconcile all other Balance Sheet accounts to ensure accurate financial reporting.
  • Provide monthly financial statements to Executive Staff and review financial performance.
  • Assist in preparation of annual budget.
  • Oversee annual audit/review process.
  • Process bi-weekly payroll, including opening and closing of state withholding accounts as needed.
  • Process 2nd payroll monthly for 1099 IMR subcontractors. Providing backup detail to IMRs to support payment.
  • Calculate and pay quarterly commissions.
  • Review & reconcile monthly health care invoice for accuracy and calculate employer contribution expense.
  • Monitor the Time & Attendance system as well as PTO.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education: Certified in accounting or bookkeeping.

Minimum Experience: Three years of experience in accounting or bookkeeping.

Preferred Qualifications:

Education: Associate’s degree in a business field (such as business administration or accounting)

Preferred Experience:

  • Three years of experience in invoicing/accounts receivable.
  • Knowledge of payroll processing.
  • Knowledge of QuickBooks.
  • Experience in preparing financial statements.
  • Experience in working independently.
